Vermont Energy Star Tax Rebates and Sales Tax Free Holiday.

This will occur between July 14 and 18. It applies specifically to Energy Star rated appliances costing under $2000.

Governor Douglas said encouraging consumers to buy green appliances is one way to save electricity. Consumers will save on their their utility and energy bills all while helping to stimulate Vermont's economy.

The state's electrical efficiency utility, Efficiency Vermont, now runs a program for businesses consumers that helps consumers find information and also offers cash rebates on Energy-Star rated appliances. This program can be combined with the Energy-Star tax-free weekend for even higher savings.
