North Carolina Energy Star Rebates and Energy Saving Tax Holidays
In January 2008, Lt. Gov. Perdue proposed, among other electricity saving bills and rebates, a one-week sales tax holiday on energy star appliances, such as those certified with the "Energy Star" labels. These appliances are rated as ways to save energy or water.
It will also include a three day sales tax holiday. Shoppers will be able to take advantage of a new Energy Star sales tax holiday on the first weekend of November, which will be for Energy Star products including energy-efficient appliances.
during the month of October on the purchase of electricity efficient products, such as all "energy star" rated light bulbs, programmable thermostats and other appliances.
