Connecticut Energy Star Sales Tax Holiday and Rebates

Connecticut has a new Energy Star furnace rebate program.

The furnace rebate hotline is 1-866-940-4676. Any state residents who leave their name, phone number, and mailing address will be mailed program application materials.

The authorized up to $5 million for an assistance program to provide rebates of up to $500 for homeowners who replace their existing furnaces with more efficient, Energy Star models. This is a great way to save energy and electricity. The furnace rebate program applies to both apartment buildings with four units or less and homes. Replacement furnaces must be Energy Star-rated, while any propane or oil equipment must be at least 84% efficient. The amount of the rebates provided by the state will vary depending on the income of the homeowner.

This rebate program, which is administered by the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management, will help residents save energy.
